The Amazing Zambia
Amazing Zambia is an investment
programme that serves as a model for “social
entrepreneurship”. The programme aims at
building a series of lodges throughout Zambia,
with the objective of marketing holiday circuits
in Zambia on the local, regional and international
markets.
An important feature of the programme
is the outstanding hospitality of Zambians. Accordingly,
this programme introduces a distinctive management
style based on local lodge managers “mentored”
by a small group of international experts.
The programme promotes local
ownership of its investments, which are set up
as joint ventures with local entrepreneurs that
fully subscribe to the objectives of Amazing Zambia.
Amazing Zambia Travel Ltd - former
KNP Promotions - provides all corporate services
to their lodges, generating activities amongst
the communities in the areas in line with the
rural development objective of this programme.
Most lodges have been developed
from scratch (green sites) to create a strong
corporate identity through uniform design and
layout. The brand will be “rural but comfortable”,
integrating the lodges in their surroundings and
using local materials wherever possible.
