tailor-made tours to suit individual needs and
expectations. We operate out of Kasama and Lusaka.
In Kasama our base is the Thorn Tree Guest House.
How do we operate?
It's simple. Just contact us via any means possible
(website/email/fax/phone/in person), stating any
location preferences you wish to see and experience
in Zambia. For example, we'll take you to waterfalls,
historical monuments, heritage sites, game parks
or trips down memory lane. You then advise us
what your budget is in terms of both time and
finance. We propose an itinerary from which we
both work together to create your own personalised,
unique safari. With our knowledge of Zambia, we
are able to recommend accommodation, lodges etc,
to suit all individual needs and expectations.
By booking with us you save both time and effort
on research and planning. At each destination
we endeavour to book into already existing lodges
and camps, and only provide camping at our more
remote locations, such as the waterfalls in the
North. A personal guide will meet you and then
your safari begins. Your guide will accompany
you throughout your stay, always available on
hand for any questions and advice.
We are committed to helping preserve Zambia’s
natural environment, preserving our National Heritage
sites and working with the local communities.
Many of the locations we camp at are still undisturbed
and tranquil; this is due to the fact that they
are still mostly unheard of. The North of Zambia,
where our mobile safaris are concentrated, is
exceptionally beautiful; with numerous game parks,
countless National Heritage sites and an abundance
of unrivalled waterfalls. As the North is remote,
it has thankfully remained somewhat of a mystery
and thus has managed to preserve much of its original
splendour.
You are our guest, and so you dictate the pace
of your daily safari life. We discuss your preferences
long before departure, to see what physically
and philosophically suits you, from visits to
local villages to experience a day in the life
of a Zambian, to botany and bird watching. From
fishing on one of our many rivers or lakes, to
relaxing in the sun on the white sandy beaches
of Lake Tanganyika, this is your holiday!
