Kariba, Kariba Bush Club is an idyllic retreat
to escape from our busy way of life, put your
feet up and enjoy some quality time with loved
ones.
Perched on the tip of the Siansowa
peninsula, we have much to offer. A wide range
of accommodation from guesthouses and luxury chalets
to houseboats and camping gives everyone a chance
to appreciate this small slice of African paradise.
Spend your days wallowing in our pool overlooking
Lake Kariba or wine and dine with family and friends
in our lake-view restaurant; roast tomato soup,
prime Zambian steak, fresh Kariba bream and exotic
crocodile curry are just a few dishes on offer.
Activities available include
scenic sunset cruises with the option of having
dinner on a private island on Lake Kariba, island
walking safaris, fishing and exciting tours of
Zambia’s largest crocodile farm. The crocodile
farm is home to approximately 100, 000 Nile Crocodiles
including over 2000 adult breeding crocodiles.
On our croc tours, you get the change to get right
amongst these beasts by actually driving through
the massive breeding area on the back of a vehicle,
and the feeding in summer is nothing short of
exhilarating!
Our private islands on Kariba
provide clients with a perfect game viewing experience;
wildlife to be seen includes eland, kudu, zebra,
wildebeest, defasa waterbuck, reedbuck, impala,
bushbuck, warthog, baboon, elephant, hippo and
much more.
By 2012 we will also have a tented
bush-camp on one of our islands, which will include
6 en-suite canvas tents tucked away in amongst
the trees with views of tranquil bay waters, a
fully equipped kitchen for those who wish to self
cater and a main dining and lounge area.
