Nature Walks:

Savannah Southern Safaris offers you a wide option of nature experiences ranging from birding, exclusive rhine walks, game drives and general walking safaris. Also offeres are Falls, Village and Town Tours.

Walking Safari

You will get a general overview of our wild side as you get guided by our experienced and knowledgeable guides.

They will try to show you, what is interesting to you. Definitely you will see some of our animal which include giraffes, zebras, wild beasts, warthogs, primates, antelopes, elephants to mention a few. The flora and fauna is as amazing as aqua life as you will discover when we take a break mighty Kazamba Besi popularly known as Zambezi River.

Starting time is at 6hrs in the morning and lasts minimum of 3hrs.

Noon walks possible 14.30 -17.00hrs

Birding

Mosi-O-Tunya Park prides itself of at least 450an maybe more species of birds. Most of which are resident. Migrating birds set in around November and leave the park again about February.

Most birds may be viewed throughout the year. Savannah Southern Safaris will provide birders exclusive tours in the park and the surrounding areas where some special birds like the Miombo Pied Barbet, the almost extinct Taita Falcon and African Finfoot are found. A little out of town one may also spot Africa’s most localised parrots “The black checked love birds”.

It’s the earliest bird, that catches the worm!

Birding starts as early as 6.30hrs in the morning. A trip lasts between 3 and 4 hrs.

Afternoon trips are possible. They begin at 14.30hrs and last a minimum of 3hours.

For adventures birders we offer trips to see the endemic Chaplin’s Barbet, which is found 300km out of town. We would be delighted to take you there.

Rhino Walks

You might have been to other parks, seen most game but the White

Rhinos. If you are interested in taking a closer look at the second largest mammal on foot then we are at your service!

Mosi-O-Tunya park has five white rhinos. We hope though that by the end of the year it will be seven as two of the young females are expected to have calves.

Walks begin at 7hrs in the morning or at 15hrs at noon.

Falls Tours

The magical and magnificent Shungu Namutitima or Victoria Falls are still a wonder! Even more wonderful to view them with the guides who will take you through the best trails whilst furnishing you with

information you will love to know about this great wonder.

Our guides will make your falls trip easier with arranging your transfer and entry.

Falls tours are conducted any time of the day between 8hrs and 16hrs.

Lunar Rainbow tours

During full moon lunar rainbow guides are also available.

It starts at 17hrs so we see the sun to make its glorious descent in the west and welcome the silver light illuminated moon making its rise from the east.

Town Tours

Livingstone is a growing town in the South of Zambia. We will show you its unique rhythm which you will only feel if you go to the right places. Its history can be seen through its architecture and historical sights that are under our national heritage.

While booking time for Village Tours is limited town tours can be conducted at any time.
